Over the course of the weekend you will enjoy the benefits of Daily Yoga Practice, Breath work, Relaxation, Meditation, Massage and Mindfulness.
So whether you are at the start of your Yoga journey or are looking to deepen your practice, there is something for everyone.

We’re very lucky to welcome Lesley Hart (Actress & Writer) to this retreat.

Here’s some info on what you can expect from the Creative Writing workshops she’ll be holding throughout the Saturday (optional)…

Time away from the stress and noise of everyday life can make a world of difference, not just to your health and well-being, but to your creativity.

If you are a writer, three blissful days of me-time in the stunning surroundings of The Burn estate could be just what you need to get started on your next masterpiece, or you’re first. It could be a chance to hone skills, to solve problems – from plot holes and loose ends to overwriting, underwriting, and even writer’s block. Or maybe it’s just enough time to get that next draft over the line.

Whatever your needs, award winning writer and tutor, Lesley Hart, will provide a bespoke service, including, where requested, one-to-one tutorials, creative writing exercises, group sessions, script and manuscript reading (with constructive, supportive feedback), plus expert advice on how to develop your writing and career beyond the retreat.

Writers of all ages and at all stages welcome. To book an initial consultation with Lesley, please get in touch.

Our accommodation for the 3 days / 2 nights this year is The Burn House, a lovely small country estate near the pretty village of Edzell, which offers an escape from the unending demands of the modern world. We will be staying in the quaint Courthouse on the estate, an ideal location for this special Affairs Retreat away from it all, offering quiet, quality ‘time for you’. It is the perfect setting for us to get together with friends and like-minded people, without having to venture too far afield, and enjoying a short revitalising break in one of Scotland’s most fantastic corners.

Surrounding the Courthouse is 190 acres of spectacular grounds consisting of ancient woodland, parkland and gardens. A stunning riverside walk follows the North Esk river and crosses the Boundary Highland Fault Line. Standing at the foot of Glenesk, The Burn House Estate is ideally placed for guests coming from the North East and surrounding areas of Scotland – less than an hours drive from Aberdeen and Dundee.

Places start at £400 for this 3 day/2 night retreat (shared or single room accommodation available). Healthy meals are included (apart from the Saturday night dinner where we will be visiting a lovely local restaurant in nearby Edzel).

Limited places, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
